PSA

There's been a massive storm. I've been housebound with the kids. We've been to New England for a wedding without the kids. We've had Halloween. I met ANITA!!!!

But the most blog-worthy thing I've got is a fantabulous new bra. From Target of all places! For $14.99!!! Ladies, back me up here. A good bra is a treasured, yet elusive possession. I'll save you all the details of how and why this was discovered. Suffice to say that this is way better news to share than how PBS kids saved my children's lives when we were all near our breaking point after 4 days without power.

Oh, so if you are like me, the girls' best friend is: Gilligan & O'Malley® Ultimate Microfiber Unpadded Bra. Enjoy!!

october 11

I am the Buffalo champion! I think we live in a fabulous place. I love the seasons. I embrace the popping of the spring bulbs, can't get enough of the hot summer days, anticipate the crisp autumn with the brilliant leaves and get giggly over a white christmas. I scoff at those that make fun of our winters.

BUT FOR CRYING OUT LOUD - IT IS SNOWING ON OCTOBER 11!!!!!!!!!!!

ANITA RODDICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I get to meet in person, with only 19 other people, the most inspirational, awe-inspring, dynamic woman EVER!!! I get to meet Anita Roddick, founder of The Body Shop, parent company of The Body Shop at Home!!! She is giving a talk at Syracuse University at the end of this month and I have been invited to come as a leader with The Body Shop at Home. For two hours, I get to hang with the most influential woman in socially responsible business!!! She is also funny and engaging and made a room of 1000 women shout "vagina" because our new VP is a man and said how he wasn't sure how to feel about being the only man in a room so many women.
I AM THE LUCKIEST PERSON EVER!!!!!!

All Dressed Up With No Place To Go!!

My sweet & understanding husband said not word one when I announced that I was taking the day off today. He has been gone for 3 weeks, traveling for work. He's been home on weekends, and every second of the weekends has been consumed, by fun stuff, getting ready to leave again and just general Dadoration. Whist Scott was bringing home the bacon, I've been tending the sheep, who've been biten by mystery insects, inflicted with a stomach bug, potty training, needing to get to and from school on time and required babysitters so that I could go facilitate for other women the Girls Nite Out that I so desperately needed! I took today off, well the 24 hour day to be exact. I left yesterday to help Gina scrape, spackle and paint and then spend the night at my mom's.

One thing that I love and get to do so rarely is read the newspaper. So last night, I took a break from the walls and flipped throught the paper. I'll skip my commentary on current events and skip right this little bit of advice by Miss Manners that I am so relieved has been cleared up!
