Thanks Lenny, but I'll pass on whatever's in the bowl!

So most of you know that I am an independent consultant with The Body Shop at Home. I love love love my job. Love the company. Love the products. There is no downside to what I do. We love to talk about how the products sell themselves, b/c once you try them, you are really hooked. Plus, it's really fun!

While the products and pampering foot soaks/home facials are totally unique, the delivery method is not. Lots of companies do this home party stuff, as you well know. So often I find myself, not competing with per se, but certainly weighted against other home-based businesses. I frequently hear, "this isn't like a regular home party". This is quite flattering, but it also aptly demonstrates the biggest challenge of my business. I am always trying to book new shows and keep my calendar full and the most common objection is that "no one wants to come to another party". One other home-based company, which has fab fab fab cookware and yummy easy recipes, recently put out a new catalog. The pic below is just one page from the catalog.

All I have to say is: I can't compete with that!!

Leah, why don't you just bring him along to your party? He can hand out samples and read the trivia questions....than would definitely sell a lot of body butter! Colleen
